I've been working with Nick Ridley on our forthcoming 2009 Gundog Calendar (free with Sporting Shooter's December issue, out 30 Oct) - and he told me about a remarkable dog he met recently: Myrtle the Mole Catcher.
Here's a composite that Nick made of Myrtle's molecatching technique - a head-first dive into the molehill. Apparently Myrtle hasn't caught one yet - but that's not for want of trying, and she's showing no signs of giving up!
